Scanning & e-Document Creation
Paper to e-Doc Conversion
Client Set-up
FileBank will conduct an analysis to determine your needs and specifications for the project. We will determine hardware and software requirements and then present you with a lay-out of the full process.
Pre-scan Processing
FileBank will prepare your documents for scanning by removing staples and binding materials and unfolding pages as required. Once the document order is verified, scan-ability is confirmed.
Scanning & Quality Control
Scans are created using state-of-the-art, high-speed Bell & Howell or Kodak scanning equipment. Based on your requirements, files are created in an array of formats: tif, pdf, bmp, jpg, xml, html, doc and COLD.
All scans are then subjected to our three-point quality check. This includes a second e-Doc Technician comparing originals to the scanned images plus a random inspection of images. Any images found to be sub-standard are discarded and the original document is re-scanned.
Indexing
All new images are indexed and coded for easy retrieval.
Text & Image Publishing
Images and corresponding index files can be published to a secure FTP site or delivered to you on DVDs for uploading to your database. Or for the ultimate in worry free e-Doc management, utilize FileBank’s ActiveWeb software to manage and store your records where they can be accessed 24/7 by authorized users from the convenience of their web browser.
For safety and security, we also publish a duplicate/back-up copy of each original.
