FileBank was formed back in 1988 on the premise that customers would best be served by providing them with solutions that were designed to meet their individual needs. Today we’ve grown into a company managing over 3,000,000 bar coded containers, files, data tapes and x-rays for our clients in the Greater Toronto Region.
Originally located in Bolton, Ontario, FileBank’s focus on customized service and cost-effective pricing soon attracted a wide variety of businesses, from manufacturing to professional service firms. As the number of clients and volume of cartons continued to increase it was necessary to consolidate our three Bolton record centres in 1995 when we moved to our present location in Etobicoke, Ontario. This central location, at the juncture of the GTA’s major highways, ensures our customers fast, reliable delivery service.
In 2000 FileBank opened a second record centre in Oakville, Ontario and in 2004 an additional centre was opened in Etobicoke, Ontario. At present FileBank manages over 600,000 containers and over 1,500,000 files in our three record centers. FileBank also manages more than 46,000 data tapes and CDs in our computer media vault and 240,000 files in our active file room.
From the start FileBank has coupled computer technology with records management. We are able to boast that from the beginning all records have been managed utilizing a computer database with the aide of bar code technology.
As part of our professional services, FileBank introduced “IT” solutions, a "one-stop" shop for computer related matters, in 2002. Our professional “IT” Service Group was designed with fast response times to provide the computer solutions you need, whenever and wherever you need them.
FileBank is a privately held limited partnership. The company is managed and operated by it’s employees. FileBank’s forward thinking business philosophy includes employee input and profit sharing.
