A part of FileBank's history has long been tied to giving back to our community. For over a decade now we have been involved with multiple charities throughout the GTA. FileBank's commitment to our community is to donate 5% of our pre-tax profits to charity every year.
Many of our long-time clients will remember the first year FileBank began our Christmas Holiday gift campaign. FileBank "stepped-up" our community service involvement that year to include the adoption of all of the family members residing in several of our neighbourhood shelters. This meant a lot of planning, shopping, wrapping and delivery of suitable gifts for everyone.
Since FileBank started this holiday tradition, many years ago, we have expanded our efforts to take on challenges throughout the year and have increased the number of agencies and shelters that we support.
FileBank's contributions have provided children with school backpacks full of supplies, new winter boots, mittens and coats, families with kitchen supplies, linens and house wares to start their new home, computer equipment for ex-residents, grocery items, as well as funding for Stay-in-School and other educational programs. FileBank also provides our services to many charitable organizations at cost.
Our staff has volunteered to renovate shelter facilities, pick-up, sort and distribute donated products, run fundraising programs, join shelter Board of Directors among a host of other worthwhile efforts.
Listed below are some of the non-profit organizations supported by FileBank. If you would like to make a donation to one of these charities please contact Kim Zaharia at FileBank (kzaharia@filebank.ca) or visit their respective websites.
